Born and raised on Lana'i, Hawaii, Jason Bero is a self-taught master of Gyotaku, the ancient Japanese art of fish printing.

Now based on California's Central Coast, he combines his lifelong passion for diving, fishing, and marine ecology with artistic expertise.

His intimate knowledge of ocean ecosystems brings scientific accuracy and reverence to every piece, whether it's a traditional Gyotaku fish print, charcoal portrait, or oil painting.

Jason treats every commission with respect, turning trophy catches and special moments into lasting art that honors the animals and wild places that matter most.
